Our Community Initiatives

Scholarships for Students

The Sophomore Challenge Scholarship is unique to our school. Sophomores are introduced to college scholarship requirements through this award-winning program. Since 1996 more than 100 scholarships have been awarded to Okemah sophomores who met the challenge requirements.

Minigrants for Classrooms

Imagination is the only boundary with this program. Teachers request funding for programs that make classroom learning more exciting. Guest speakers, field trips, new technology and hands-on materials are just a few examples of ways the Foundation helps make learning more exciting for our students.

Academic All Stars

Graduation brings many awards and accolades to our Seniors. Each year the Foundation partners with OHS to award All-Star trophies to those graduates who have excelled academically. Trophies are presented during an All-Star Reception with family, faculty and our community in attendance.
